Detachable LLLC Link

The company, in collaboration with Aker Rauma Offshore USQ, has designed a new concept of connector: the detachable LLLC link. This special link has been created to solve problems associated with the installation of mooring lines in permanent offshore production facilities. The main characteristics of this connector are: same diameter, geometry, and dimensions as a common link of the chain it will be connected to during installation; easy handling; easy connection; future optimizing of the design will allow loads of up to 75% of equivalent chain break load (Optimizing its design the load value will reach 75%). This link is intended as installation tool and not as a permanent part of the mooring.
