HPD has developed several unique processes to address the challenges of SAGD produced water treatment including:
- A Vapor Washer system integrated into the evaporator equipment increases distillate quality for use in drum boilers by preventing salts and other undesirable solids from entering boiler feed water
- The Silica Sorption Process utilizing evaporation (patent pending) removes silica from produced water that significantly reduces caustic / sodium hydroxide consumption to produce a slurry suitable for economic on-site or off-site disposal as
- Skid-mounted and modular designs to provide simpler transport and installation of large-scale process equipment
